American Idol: Top 11 Part 2

11 are competing again tonight, but this time 2 are going home. Tonight's blog may be shorter than usual because I have somewhat of a headache. Random I was just thinking of when they all sing together and they are lip syncing. I don't think I mind lip syncing anymore, and I know this may seem bad but the Spice Girls lip sanc all the time! But the thing is their music makes me happy and Victoria Beckham's solo material does to, so to quavel over lip syncing takes away the music. As long as you know they can really sing because you've heard them live before ... you know? the theme is Elton John

Ryan is wearing you know what, but what I can comment on is his new haircut. It's nice.

Jennifer is wearing a purple sequined dress that looks like it is mimicked by Victoria Beckham's collection, but I don't think it's one of hers. her left shoulder is bare as the dress only goes over her right shoulder.

Randy is wearing a simple black outfit, black shirt, black pants.

Steven is wearing a black over coat with a black and white flower shirt. His pants are also black I believe. This week his outfit is safe, so that may send him home (LoL ;)..)

Scotty was first. He chose Country Comfort. He's wearing very tight Jean pants, a leather jacket and Lord knows what the shirt is because his jacket is zipped up. I have never heard this song before but he's done a good job.

Naima was second. She chose 'I'm Still Standing.' She's wearing a white pair of tight pants with a white vest for a top. She turned this song into a reggae form, and I like it because it is different. Her red shoes match the red stripes on her outfit. Personally, this is her best performance to date for me!

Paul was third. He chose 'Rocket Man'. Man, I just know i'm gonna be listening to some Elton John music after the show! LoL Um what is he wearing. A white tux with with pink flowers. Some of the flowers seem to be maroon as they are matching his button up under shirt. His performance tonight is definitely unique and i'm thinking that he needs some more training. He's still very cute though.. The flowers also go down his pant leg.

Pia was fourth. She chose "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me." she's wearing a sequined silver dress, short above the knee, with sleeves that go to the wrist. I tink there's some stones in the design and if i'm not mistaken, this is the kind of dress that J-Lo wore earlier in her career? She killed it! (in the good way).

Stefano was fifth. He chose 'Tiny Dancer.' They really need to give him tighter pants (LoL) if it's slightly bagging in the back, it's not tight enough! (Haha) He's wearing a grey vest with a white button-up undershirt and white trainers. I think they should have him wear more modern clothes, because he looked so cute when he was wearing them in his intro. He did a good job, some of the notes took my breath away.

Lauren was sixth. She chose 'Candle In The Wind,' the version for Marilyn Monroe. I have loved this version for a long time, so I can tell you that it's not karaoke. She's wearing a simple black dress. She did a very good job on the sound.

James was seventh. He chose 'Saturday Nights Alright For Fighting." He's wearing a leather vest with black pants and black pants that have slits at the knees. he's wearing several necklaces and I can't get a good look at his undershirt. I sure hope he's not DAMN! he leaned back and I got an amazing crotch shot! LoL anyway, hhe's also wearing a red, blue and grey scarf. his shirt seems to remind me of a map? He did great. Tonight sounded different from Adam Lambert.

Thia was eighth. She chose 'Daniel.' She's wearing a baggy white dress has tiny holes in parts. This has always been one of my other favourite songs from Elton, and I think she did a pretty good job. There were pitchy parts, and I wonder if her ability to just standing the same place may hurt her tomorrow.

Casey was ninth. He chose 'Your Song.' what the devil was up with his arms flappin on his catwalk?? (LoL) He finally got rid of the majority of his wild beard. It looks nice now. It's nice to hear him not always growling through a song! This is a great performance from him. Amazing last couple notes. Didn't know he could do that! Very good! Wow I totally forgot to talk about his outfit! LoL. He's wearing a tux that is a bit easy goin, with an untucked theme and even slightly unbuttoned. His shoes are black, this kinda works.

Jacob was tenth and he chose 'Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.' Mary J Blige came onto the show to surprise Jacob. Mary J Blige has to be one person that I really respect. Now i'm starting to see how posting a blog about your favourite songs and albums can be a bad thing because in my post about music from 2000-2005, I forgot so many artists that I love! (LoL). (If you are lost, i am referring to my previous post on music from the first 5 years of music, for the first decade of this millennium.
He started out making this sound like a slightly haunting song. He makes it sound good through a voice that could imply he is crying. He's wearing a grey tuxedo jacket with black pants. His undershirt is black with a red hanging tie on the right.. His performance is very good, the only thing I would change is that he should walk around the stage more.

Hailey was eleventh and final. She chose 'Bennie & The Jets.' There's a line about killing the fatted calf, i'd probably change the lyrics at that part too, 'We won't be killing the fatted calf tonight because i'm a vegetarian.' (LoL!:P). Her dress is multi colored and difficult to explain. It's a mixture of greens and blues and has flowers designs all over it. She did great! :p.

Honorable Mention
I would have thought this would have been a bigger hit and she would have been more successful. Remember a cute girl by the name of Hoku? From Hawaii?.

2001

Honorable Mentions
'My Religion' - Krystal Harris

This is interesting. I remember Going to K-Mart and buying the single for Leslie Carter's "Like Wow," because she's the only other sibling of Nick Carter to make music I think. Her debut single was the only thing that was released. Only 5 of her songs were released after you count up the songs from her US Single and her Australian single. Apparently, she never wanted to record this song or make the video for it. Which is unfortunate because the video did cost $350,000 to make! I guess I just have weird tastes but this song just rocks for me! it's like bubble gum pop and 90s pop put together and a total mind explosion! LoL The music video goes off into a weird thing so the song doesn't match the video after awhile.

2002

Harry Potter
VHS's were still being sold, and I remember my Aunt had a copy of the first Harry Potter movie. I asked if i could borrow it because I heard it was really cool. That night, I watched it twice in a row. My Aunt was worried that I was gonna watch it so much the tape inside the VHS would crinkle! (LoL!) She eventually insisted I give it back to her because mum told her I was on my 8th time of watching it. IN 3 DAYS!!! (;p)

Sorry. Most songs by System of a Down just don't get the honor of entering my ears. Chop Suey????????? *sighs*
AN EPIC HONORABLE MENTION:
Normally, Honorable mentions would be secondary or listed as 'but not least!'; but this is a song that Eminem truly outdid himself on. It was his first serious song that really caught my attention (Even though his other songs always caught my attention too LoL). "Lose Yourself" - Eminem is by far one of the most influential songs I have ever heard by a rapper!

NOTE: I can never decide which is my favourite songs from the Marilyn Manson cd released in this year. It was the first cd of that band that I had ever purchased, and to this day i'm shocked I was able to at about 15 years old! It was parental advisory

Dishonorable Mention
"Hey Ya! - Outcast! including the music video.

Honorable Mentions
"Stacy's Mom" - Fountains of Wayne. Please keep in mind that in 2003, I was about 14 or 15. The boy they put in this video with braces if I remember correctly, was about 13 at that time, so it shouldn't seem weird for me to say that when i was around 14 years old, I had a crush on a 13 year old LoL. I no longer have a crush on him obviously, because that video is now nearing 10 years old. Plus, i have no idea what he looks like now! LoL. The video was pitch perfect for the song, though I felt the song felt like it came out of the 80s, which is probably why I liked it! LoLz.

"Lights Out" Lisa Marie Presley. I just liked this song so much because it had a story to it and gave an insight partially on how she feels about her father's suicide. This is not the real music video. The real one can be found at her facebook page by following this link:
http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/video.php?v=1640320646875

"Measure Of A Man" - Clay Aiken. I just have always like this song because it truly goes into how you measure a man's character.

Favourite Albums
Evanescence "Fallen" (2003)
Kelly Clarkson "Thankful" (2003)
Hilary Duff "Metamorphosis" (2003)
Lisa Marie Presley "To Whom It May Concern" (2003)
Clay Aiken "Measure Of A Man" (2003)
Marilyn Manson 'The Golden Age Of Grotesque" (2003)

2004

"Accidentally In Love" - Counting Crows

"Tipsy" - J-Kwon
"The Reason" - Hoobastank
"This Love" - Maroon 5
"What You Waiting For? - Gwen Stefani
"Yeah!" - Usher featuring Lil Jon & Ludacris

Note: It is near impossible for me to choose just one song from Ashlee Simpson's debut cd, released in this year, because to me, they are all equally great. If I had to pick a least favourite, I guess i'd say 'Unreachable.'

Note: It is also impossible for me to decipher a favourite song from Lindsay Lohan's debut album released in this same year for the same reason as Ashlee's cd. Despite her publicized issues going on right now, she does have a beautiful voice.
Honorable Mention
"Somewhere Only We Know" - Keane. I just love this song because in a year when a lot of songs were starting to talk more and more about sex, this song simply talks about offering someone a shoulder and going to a place where no one is gonna hear you vent. I love a lot of Keane's music, unfortunately, their tour for the USA was canceled for their second album due to failure for their single, 'Is It Any Wonder?' to get on the radio. they are from the UK. They had two music videos, it's up to you if you would like to watch them both :). The first one is better because the second one is a typical mock live performance. I give you some real music!

"Broken" - Robert Downey Jr. It's the most unique song i've ever heard. I know I probably say that about a lot of songs though. I always try to find more meanings in it when I listen to it.It's interesting watching him sing LoL

"Backflip" - Raven-Symone. It talks of her wanting her boyfriend to prove his love.
Gawd! I had such a crush on the guy in this video LoL!

Favourite Albums
Keane - "Hopes and Fears" (2004)
Robert Downey Jr "The Futurist" (2004)
---[I still want to get a copy of this one]
Raven Symone - "This Is My Time" (2004)
Mindy Smith "One Moment More" (2004)
---[Holy crap! Just saw on Wikipedia that she's 38. She so does not look her age! I thought she was my age!! WOW!].
Kelly Clarkson "Breakaway" (2004)
Gretchen Wilson "Here For The Party" (2004)
---[I love her style and music despite her political preference. I read that she performed the National Anthem at the National Republican Convention one year.]
Hilary Duff "Hilary Duff" (2004)
Regis Philbin "When You're Smiling" (2004)

"You and Me" - Lifehouse
"You Raise Me Up" - Westlife (UK)
"You're Beautiful" — James Blunt

Honorable Mentions
"Better Days" — Goo Goo Dolls. I just like how this song talks of a hopeful tomorrow without getting cheesy. The fact that the song starts out with the world 'And,' is a little odd though. If someone can tell me what the significance of starting out a song or sentence with the world 'and' randomly is, let me know! :p

"Photograph" — Nickelback. This is the first song I have liked from Nickelback since their 'Someday,' song.

"Speed of Sound" — Coldplay This was the first song by them I have ever liked. Their song 'Fix You,' I still have to tap into and find the inner meaning, but otherwise at first listen, i'm not too fond of the message.

"The Ghost of You" — My Chemical Romance. This song seeped into my brain all the time. My friend told me he was going to Iraq and this song just kept haunting me. Still does to this day.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCUpvTMis-Y

Honorable Mentions
"Turbulence" by Lisa Marie Presley. Now I know she's not the best singer in the world. I guess I look past the voice sometimes as long as they can sing on tune and listen to the art they have created.

Dishonorable Mentions
"Dirty Little Secret" — The All-American Rejects. I really like the sound of this song, but the lyrics are just sad! It's about being ashamed of who you are dating. Tisk, tisk, tisk. If the music industry ever needs someone who can write better songs while on the john, you know where to find me! LoL

"Lonely" — Akon. Dear Vlod, i've got a headache just thinking about this song! The first time I heard it, that little 'so lonely,' high pitched voice throughout the song just drove me totally bonkers! The only other time that i have heard this kind of squeak was in Mariah Carey's 'Boy.' For her, it worked! For Akon, Idk, it just didn't :-/.

"Trapped in the Closet" — R. Kelly. This 10 or so song series just was interesting at most, but not something I want to own copies of. :-/

Favourite Albums
Carrie Underwood "Some Hearts" (2005)
Buzz Meade "Reflect The Light" (2005)
---[I just had a psychic vibration that my friend Nicole read this and was like, "WHO???" :p. Of course not many people know of him, he's a local artist from Milwaukee, WI. He came to a local coffee shop in my hometown, 2 hours away from his, and that's where I bought his album. So glad I did! It's great!]
Gretchen Wilson "All Jacked Up" (2005).
Backstreet Boys "Never Gone" (2005)
Lisa Marie Presley "Now What" (2005)

Now the fun part. I tag my friend Nicole to do everything I just did! ........ Well, not really, but if you want to, Nicole, you can. :) :p. I find that Wikipedia helps you remember songs very well. I typed in hit songs of (then added a year), but you aren't really tagged unless you wanna be :p.

The End

I'm nearing the end of several friendships, which is a step in life we must all take. As much as we all dream to be friends with our friends from high school forever, sometimes it just doesn't work out. I've attempted to write about this, but could never pinpoint the exact ways to describe it. I have always respected Mandy Moore and her music always soothes my soul and can take away any bad emotion. Not many musicians have this ability on me. "When I Try To Talk To You," is a song from her 'Wild Hope,' cd, if i'm not mistaken; because it comes from as early as 2007. Her last two albums are her best works yet! "Amanda Leigh," & "Wild Hope," (Not in that order, the other way around as far as chronilogical order goes...) are the names of her 2 lastest albums. I like how she did this. 'Wild Hope,' is part one, and 'Amanda Leigh' is part 2. Kind of like a book. She says that these cd's are meant to be received as flowing together with whatever shee's been feeling over the past couple years.

EDIT: I'm willing to admit when i'm misinformed or just talking out the wazoo! LoL. According to Wikipedia, this song isn't on any of her albums, so i'm wondering where this song came from.

This is the song that she wrote about friendships going sour and I couldn't have said it better myself.

Spread The Love

I am not the best vlogger, blogger or poet. I don't always say the write things or say things exactly how I mean it. I am merely human and so are you. We all have a beating heart; we all walk on two legs, unless of course some very curious and smart golden retriever is surfing the internet and reading this blog.Instead of dragging this one out and getting way too into the I's, Me's and My's; There a simple point I wanted to make today. I will say though that I know that nobody needs me to tell them how to live my life. Even though when I attempted to vlog on youtube and took the advice of several people, it turned out to end badly. I eventually got bashed for doing what people suggested I should do. And the people who bashed me were the ones who suggested it in the first place, so talking about this is trivial, but it goes along with what i'm wanting to say.

There is so much negativity in this world, that it's not funny. Maybe in a past life, I lived during the days of covered wagons, because I obviously think differently than a lot of people. For example, apparently chivalry is dead and gone and i'm the only one that seems to be bringing it back. We have women beaters, we have guys who think they should cheat on their wife and get away with it, and if they don't, revert back to beating the woman. I know guys that talk about women in such a degrading way that I get disgusted and walk out of the store, restaurant or just the room. My idea has always been that simple kindness, chivalry and love shouldn't be this hard!

Tonight at supper, someone sitting at my table was making these derogatory comments about a woman's breasts. You can bash me or make fun of me all you want for how offended I get about things, but even though I'm male, it bothers me when someone is that without morals that they would say stuff like that in public and loud enough for the girl to hear it. People really need to think of other people's self esteems. Putting others down so you can simply put others at your emotional level so you don't feel alone does nothing. Yes, I know you don't need me to tell you how to live your life, but sometimes you have to keep your opinions to yourself. That's something I learned when several people suggested I speak my mind in vlogs on youtube and then those same people bashed me for not keeping my thoughts to myself. Something tells me they had it in mind the whole time to bash me in the end. If that's what they wanna do, fine, but don't start whining at me when I delete you from my life!

My thinking may be equivalent to the days of covered wagons and where men were chivalrous to women even if they were gay, but that's something that I am truly passionate about. I know most people don't care about that, so i'll keep getting to the point. There is so much negativity in this world and certain things offend me. This tends to give ammo to people who are negative. For example, this guy on youtube guy paranoid that I just wanted to know him because he was partnered and pretty famous, so he now ignores me. Mazel tov, life goes on. I don't know if he thought this would bring me down, but it didn't. It disappointed me because I couldn't believe they thought this about me. We are all only human though, and sometimes we all judge a book by its cover.

There is no real way to say this without being brutally honest.

Yes, I know that not a lot of people actually care.

I was talking to a friend of mine on youtube. Someone whom I thought was a friend of mine, but I am noticing those tell-tale signs that she is a user and simply wanting attention all for herself. How do I know this? She asked me how I was doing, I was a bit down and I told her. She told me she had no time for my drama. Another friend asked me how I was doing and I asked him, "Do you really wanna know?" Unfortunately, this made me seem like an attention-wanter. He got upset and told me that the world didn't revolve around me and that I needed to stop expecting it to be. I am still very curious to where these people are getting their perspectives from. It's like when someone started bashing me for being against gay marriage when I NEVER said I was against gay marriage. :-/

For those who have read blogs i've posted before, you know this part already.

When I was born, Virgo, which is a birth sine that originally went from like Late August to late September. Virgo's are notorious for being observers. Unfortunately, Virgo's are also shy at times, which tends to freak people out that tend to jump the gun, so-to-speak. "It's the quiet ones you need to worry about." they say. I remember being quiet in a chat room several nights because as pathetic as it may seem to some people, or 'scuse me 'drama-creating' (rolls eyes, oops! i'm an asshole! LoL!) I tend to be like a dog that has to warm up to people before he really lets them see who I am. Which also isn't only with me. There's a lot of people in this world who feel like they can't be themselves, but they can't talk about it because nobody really cares :-/. Yes, again, you don't need me to tell you how to live your life.

Anyway, Virgo's are notorious for being shy and closeted on many things until they just let everything go. Every stress, every asshole that makes you feel like you are an asshole yourself; every person that makes you feel like you are ugly on the inside. As much as I know no one needs me to give them advice, I have always said this:
Most people don't care unless it's about them. You can go to a counselor and talk to someone who's just gonna ask you how that makes you feel, or you can find people who just keep asking you when you're going to think of their feelings and just keep your feelings inside you. Maybe I just know a lot of crappy people :-/ but most of the people I have met in my life don't really care about what others are feeling. Or they quickly jump to conclusions like my friend who told me she wasn't in the mood for my drama when I told her that I was out of milk :-/.

I don't really wanna go into what i'm feeling because i'm not a negative Nancy, though sometimes I vent uncontrollably when I can't handle it anymore. Again, name a human who doesn't go through the same things I do? Or the same things you do? we are all human, like I said, unless you're a golden retriever reading this blog! I know i'm not an epic addition to this world so who am I to expect special treatment? You can think that I want all this attention, but honestly, I don't care. I vlogged on youtube because I thought people wanted to know what I was thinking about things. I create whatever I create because it's either fun or it's something I feel passionate about. Again, name a human who doesn't feel that way?

Well, I can. People are so depressed that they are losing interest in their interests. Again, you don't need me to tell you how to live your life, but if there were more people that actually had a heart, there wouldn't be so many depressed people. Naturally, there'd still be these people who just want attention, but sometimes a person needs someone to talk to. To simply bash them, belittle them or to avoid them because it's not about you just makes things worse. Now, onto a positive outlook.

I commend Ellen Degeneres for her desire to continue her show in a way that'll make people laugh instead of just focusing on ratings. I commend Selena Gomez for her new song 'Who Says?' in which she talks about physical beauty being only skin deep and that everyone deserves the ability to live a beautiful life. We are all human and must stick together. Just ... spread the love and be kind to one another. We don't have to be so vicious!

American Idol Top 11

Hello, it turns out that Karen was the one voted off this last voting sequence. I think the wrong person has been sent home because Karen's bilingual ability brought an interesting twist to Idol. I sure hope that she wasn't sent home because she didn't completely sing in English. I hope that this world realizes that English isn't the only language out there! For me, both of my choices have already been sent home. I guess I saw something that the majority of this country didn't, but that's okay. I hope that they are given a chance soon.

Tonight's theme is Motown and they started out in black and white. A nice touch. Naturally, Ryan Seacrest came out in a typical tux and even the tie is black, so i'm not sure i'll do much fashion commentary on hi anymore. Jennifer Lopez came out wearing this fetching sequined long sleeved pink top with a sequined white shirt. Very fetching as well! I just love her blue eyeshadow! Steven Tyler's top jacket looks much like the peace/70s one he was wearing last week. This week, his top has a cougar spots theme with a sabor tooth on his necklace. A black vest completes this look. I've also noticed that the feather is gone ... thank goodness. Randy is wearing a simple white undershirt and a vest-like sweater with a chrome-like design of black pieces on top of the two white patches going down the front.

Casey Abrams is up first. He's singing "I heard It Through The Grapevine," by Marvin Gaye. The only song i've heard by Gaye is 'Let's Get It On,' so this'll be interesting. He's wearing a simple tux with a maroon button-up undershirt; with black shoes. His outfit is rather simple for tonight, but his singing seems to sound really good with Motown. His voice is aggressive, unique and full of testosterone. The last note was really pitchy though, but that's nothing that practice couldn't help to fix. His performance was much better than his outfit. The outfit is far too simple; for me, this is a competition, not a wedding! (LoL) I've seen a picture of him without facial hair, and I think he should shave off his beard, but that's just my opinion.

Brian just realized that there are two contestants whose names rhyme with each other. Thia & Pia. I just made a VERY bad joke... "I drank some Thia and now I gotta Pia..." ... let's just move on... especially since I just found out you DO pronounce the H and it's not pronounced "Tia." Thia is next. ... awkward...

Thia is singing "Heatwave." by Martha & the Vandellas. I have always kind of like this song. Her outfit is simple, her skirt looks kinda like a kitchen window kurtain with 3 layers of fabric. It's light pink, with a top that makes a very brief appearance covering up her bosom. It's black. OOOH! HER NECKLACE IS SO FETCHING! A heart shape with multy colored gem stones. I would wear that even though it's clearly for women. Oh yea! Her shoes are black high heels. Her bracelets and earrings match the necklace. I would only wear the necklace most likely. Her performance was really good, i'd say.

Jacob is up next. Singing "You're All I need To Get By," By Marvin Gaye. I'm gonna have to look up some more of Marvin's songs because apparently, he has a lot of good ones. This is the second time that Gaye has appeared in this episode. Jacobs wearing a white tux over coat with a very nice multy colored tie. Blue(?) purplish-pink and white. The undershirt is a white buttoned up shirt with a tint of light light pink. His pants are black and his shoes match his tuxedo jacket. I'm getting a kick out of J-Lo bouncing in her chair to this performance! :p. Steven just went on stage to hug Jacob...LOL!!!! I agree this performance was SMASHING! I think i'm changing my mind about Jacob. I just hope that if he wins, he doesn't go Gospel. At least not completely. Loved the part where J-Lo said Jacob made us beg ... and she sounded like she was in heat! LMAO! OTFLMAO!!! The whole front row came up to hug Jacob! :p aww.

"You Keep Me Hanging On," by the Supremes was the song choice by Lauren. She has such an awesome voice. A great beginning, which'll make me forgive her for that zebra style dress. I think it's only missing one thing. It needs a couple streaks of pink in it. Her bracelets and earrings are diamonds and the earrings go down to her shoulders and beyond. She did great!

Stefano is up next. He's wearing a somewhat long white tuxedo jacket. black jeans that tighten around his thighs ... i'm thinkin 'yummy.' LoL! his eyes are really cute too. Maybe I was kinda negative about him for the past few weeks. He's chosen "Hello," by Lionel Ritchie. I like that his cockiness went away. He's cuter that way. His singing seems pitch-perfect and very emotional for this song. the last note was very good too. I'm not sure I get the idea o having a patch of facial hair under the chin instead of on it though :-/ hmm...i'm glad his eyes were open too. they are beautiful so to keep them closed is a sin...well not really, he's straight LoL. After hearing the judges say that he needs to add more feeling to his performance, I guess I agree, but not completely. It did sound like there was some emotion in the performance, but that's just me.

Hailey chose "You Really Got A Hold On Me," by Smokey Robinson & the Miracles. she's wearing some short black shorts that allow the majority of her legs show. Black high heels with straps on them to hold onto the ankle. Her hair looks a bit longer tonight because it's closer to her waist tonight. A white coat I can't really describe. the under shirt is black with a v neck. Her performance was more jazzy than Motown, I think. The performance was better than the outfit.

Scotty is next. 'For Once In My life' by Stevie Wonder is the song he chose. A cross for his necklace. Everything he's wearing is black. Black button up shirt, black pants, and black shoes. His performance puts a country twist, but i'm not sure if this is gonna pan out to be a good week for him. He did alrite.

Pia is up next. "All In Love Is Fair," by Stevie Wonder. She's wearing a ravishing black dress with a sequin pattern going along the back; there's a slit to allow her leg to show on the right. She's wearing large circular earrings with diamonds. her singing is beautiful. I don't know what else to say, i'm speechless.

Paul is next. They showed him in the studio and he looked so cute. The leather jacket needs to go though...unless it's faux leather, in which case, I wish there was an easier way to tell. Gawd, sometimes I wish I didn't care so much about animals because I annoy even myself about leather sometimes :-/ LoL? He came out wearing tight black pants . he neesds to turn around! LoLz. His hair is very wild, the hair needs to be changed. Ah, they just showed him from the back. Flat butt. LoL. His shirt is black as well. The guitar strap has interesting flowers on them. His voice is unique and different and i'm starting to like it.

:-/ not sure about the attempt to get people to vote LoL...

Naima is next. "Dancing In The Street," by Martha & the Vandellas. I just love her style, does anyone know what her style would be called if you wanted to get something like that? :p. I Naima is sounding a lot better this week! Her top is silver top that allows the reveal of skin onher arms, parts of her sides and a diagonal view of her stomach. Her pants are the same color, and I think they are called parachute pants. her shoes are ... SHE'S BAREFOOT! She threw in a interesting dance part where she just let loose and danced her life away. She was a bit pitchy in parts, I admit. Just saw when she barreled down the stairs that she's wearing a shitload of bracelets.

James chose Stevie Wonder's 'Livin' For The City.' I love the black and red evil theme.he's wearing a tux with chains on the shoulders. his undershirt is a simple grey vest and a grey undershirt. Black pants and black shoes.his signiture cross earing in the left ear. I think I know why they put him at the end. This is amazing. He still has the tail. I guess it's growing on me LoL. That was amazing!

I hope you have enjoyed my commentary. I decided not to include pictures tonight, because I think i've already used a the main ones they have available of the contestants. As a last note, J-Lo's hair looks amazing! I wonder if she likes that nickname again.

Peace <3 Hugs - Andrew.

Anti-Top 40: Blog One

I have been a bit indecisive about posting this blog because I wasn't sure if I should but eh, what the hell. There's nothing illegal with posting youtube videos in your blogs. I think it's called free-use or something like that. I wanted to post a blog about some of my favourite songs that are NOT in the mainstream and NOT exactly in the Top 40. In the cases where they ARE in the Top 40, i'll mention it as an honorable mention. Honorable because most of the top 40, in my opinion is not honorable. It's deplorable. So much of today's top 40 all sounds the same. Sex, sex, sex. If you're gonna talk about sex, do it differently! If I hear another song about sex where i find myself thinking of another song about sex because of some sort of similarity, i'll have to explode! (LoL) I can write better things while i'm on the can! (...can't believe I just said that.)

I don't know if i'm a dying breed or if i'm just too damn picky. Maybe both, maybe just picky...well, I know i'm picky but ... nevermind. Moving on (LoL).

1.) Beth Hart "L.A. Song."
The first song I would like to include is a song by someone I have never heard of before. Well, I have now, but I found her somehow on youtube one night when I was utterly bored. Her song seemed logical and those lyrics! Damn! An actual storyline! Her name is Beth Hart and her song is called 'LA Song.' I love how she really gets into her piano playing and her passion for music just resonates from her. She may not be popular because when she sings her tonsils seem to move a lot, but I like her voice because it's different and she's still in melody and still in tune. If i'm not mistaken, it seems like this is her song, meaning she wrote about a part of her life. I love songs like this! This is what I call music! Oh yeah, SHE'S ACTUALLY SINGING LIVE! I would LOVE to go to one of her shows...I totally just typed shoes instead of shows. Wow. I really want me a pair of vegan shoes, that's probably why I said this (LoL). Anyway, i'd give this song tumultuous applause if I could.

2.) Melanie C "Better Alone"Sometimes I hear a song that just literally catches me off guard. I have some poems that I write to describe a feeling in detail with what I feel are killer lines, but don't hear many songs that have killer explanations. When I say 'killer' it's an expression. Killer also means 'shocking' or 'dead on,' ... oh dear, another expression to explain. 'dead on' means 'right on.' ... don't make me go there ...

Anyway, Melanie C was Sporty Spice in the very successful British group called 'Spice Girls.' They all went solo and i've heard a lot of their music, only two of which make this list. For the Spice Girls, their oomph was killer rhymes. Lines that rhymed like crazy, kind of like Hilary Duff's old music. The Girl's solo careers weren't as successful as some would thin since their group was successful, but when I heard Melanie B's songs, the lyrics are not exactly anything to gasp at in happy shock. Geri Halliwell's music is okay. Emma Bunton's music is just too cute. She'll always have that Baby Spice appeal, I think. Her smile is so full of life and bouncy. And then there's Victoria Beckham, whom i'll talk about later. Melanie C stands out as a solo artist above the other girls because of her passion and strong vocals. What I like about a lot of her songs is that they are not about sex! At least not all of them. I admit, i've written two songs about sex, but the majority of my poems are actually of substance, i'd think. Mel's passion in this song 'Better Alone,' truly encompases how a woman feels when a relationship she loved so much ends. I take off my hat in respect!

3.) Tom Milson "Indigo."
This song is pretty popular on youtube, but as far as I know, it hasn't made it across the ocean from the UK except through youtube. I wouldn't go as far as saying that Tom needs to be knighted by Her Majesty the Queen, but as far as lyrics go, this song is truly a landmark for him. Along with being educational on a lot of colors that most people don't always recognize because they're terrified of how society has genderized pink as a girls color (I might vomit!), the lyrics are truly beautiful. I actually had a tear at the beautiful sentiment in these lyrics. Loving someone making all colors go Indigo for them. Gawd! I wish i'd thought of that! He is on his 3rd album, I believe, and i'm hoping to get a copy of his first one soon. Not sure if they'll send overseas though, but here's hoping because he has two versions of this song. The original on his sophmore album, then a redone version on his third. I may be wrong on which album the new version is from though. This song often gets stuck in my head while taking a walk because of how catchy it is and the lyrics. I'm not fawning, really (LoL), but i'll end his part by posting both versions of this song.

4.) Mindy Smith "What Went Wrong"
I was looking for a specific Mindy song because I lost her cd's (:[..) and I forgot which song had the killer lyrics, so I went to her website. This song started playing and the lyrics just captured me. Is it bad to love a song and its lyrics the first time listening to it? Now, i'm of Jewish faith so I can't really listen to her song "Come to Jesus" anymore, and her newer song about the Saviour, but I really like her tease way of singing. It's not the kind of voice that leaves you feeling like you expected more, it's not over done either. It's one of those voices that you can't really describe. Her style is somewhat country with a mix of blues which just makes it completely brilliant for me.I just saw now that she is on her fourth album. I have strayed to long from her music and I hope you enjoy her music too. :) Her song is called "What Went Wrong." What I think is cool is that there's a line in the song where she says 'Stupid Love.', and that's the name of her album. It's cool when a singer chooses a random line within a song and makes it the title of their album. You may have noticed that Alanis Morisette did that with her album 'Jagged Little Pill.' It took me awhile to find the words 'jagged little pill' in her song 'You Learn,' but it was kinda fun waiting to hear those words. I'll talk about her later too. I hope you like Mindy's new song too. :)

5.) Victoria Beckham "A Mind Of Its Own."
I'm a sucker for Victoria because I have always thought she was so mysterious with her simple stare when she was with the Spice Girls. She's a beautiful woman and I can't say that showing it off is exactly a bad thing. It's nice that not all of her songs during her solo career were about sex. Come to think about it, most of her songs weren't. I have YET to get a copy of her cd though. Everytime i've tried to get it, something went wrong (LoL). My friend in the UK says she bought out the last reaming copies and put them in storage .. I think i've just realized that he was joking. O Bugger! She has been famous for lip syncing but a lot of singers do nowadays. So has Britney Spears a lot. It's nice to hear her actually sing from time to time, but I digress. The times I tried to get her cd include Ebay. A guy in Quebec either never sent it or changed his mind after he got my money. He was nice enough to refund my money IN FULL! So i'm thankful for that. I remember giving him a nice note about how reasonable and understanding he was about the fact that I didn't receive it and something went wrong in the post ... I like to think that something just went wrong in the post because it would be negative to think he purposely didn't send it. Another time, the guy on ebay had his account deleted and he got off with my money. Ebay ended up refunding me. Third time's the charm? Should I try again? This time through ebay? (LoL)

Along with her music, I just respect her so much as a person. Her fashion truly makes me understand why she's a Fashion Icon. Sometimes I hear that someone is a Fashion Icon and I'm thinking, "What? How??" I admit it's unique that some of her dresses have a completely visible zipper, but that's fricken Genius! My gran used to ask me to zip her up, well, from like the upper back to her neck, and it was so hard to find the zipper. I saw that and thought, "Gawd! I wish i'd thought of that!" Her sunglasses are also truly awesome! She has a pink pair that she put on her facebook page for her dVb line (which stands for David Victoria Beckham "dVb", notice how the d looks like a backwards b? Genius! LoL). Here's the link to the sunglasses I want.

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=58646228683&set=a.450898138683.247921.8400033683

Phew! I Totally just almost lost this post! I X'd out!! *Screams* Anyway, i've gone way off track, but I just wanted to say that it's not just her music that I respect. This is by far by favourite song by her. "A Mind Of Its Own." It's logical. Sensible as she says (LoLz).

6.) Raven-Symone "What's Real?
Raven-Symone is a somewhat known celebrity because of her show 'That's So Raven,' on the Disney Channel, but her cd with the same name as her song, "This Is My Time," sold a modest 19,000 copies. Only sad, because the music is so good. This song is one of those that hits right to the core and has the same meaning as the song by Kris Allen that is later in this list. This one tells a story of a mother who is more concerned about fame and material things than her family. Then the song goes on to say that what's real is how you feel and the beauty in your soul, also those you love. When she says 'the time you take to check in,' that line means checking in on those you love and seeing how they are doing. Well, of course this song wouldn't have been considered as a single because it has too profound of a message for the top 40. I hope that changes one day. Sex is great, but it's not the most important thing in life!! I also love the feel of this song. Bluesy.

7.) Krystal Harris "My Religion."
Krystal got her chance to make music through the Backstreet Boys. She knows Kevin very well. I have never sat and listened to her complete cd but I do have it. The title may give you a feeling that this is a religious song, but this song was rejected by Christian radio stations as far as I have heard. The message in the song is that Love turns no one away and that her Religion is love. Not to condemn Christianity, but that is not the message of it. Her musical career wasn't very successful, but I heard something somewhere once that sometimes fate deems that we are only heard once to make a point. Her song hits a very core place within the LBGT Community by siting that Love is supposed to always be there for people. Even if you're gay! If I had anything to do with it, I would suggest this song for the song of the LBGT community.

Honorable Mentions
These are some songs that were very popular or are pretty popular today that win my favor.
Alanis Morisette "You Learn."
I truly like Alanis' voice because of how unique it is. I have to remember this one Idol contestant during my honorable mentions. So glad my friend doesn't feel like i'm copying here. Thanks Nicole! :D! I used to be caught up on whether a song rhymes or not, but with age brought an appreciation for meaning more than whether something rhymes or not. There was this one band, and I can't remember the rest of their name. I feel so bad, but it begins with 'Aqua...' but it's not that wild Aqua band that came out with 'Barbie Girl.' The lead singer of the band i'm thinking about said that a song doesn't have to have a killer hook, so that stuck with me. I took on a whole new perspective for viewing art. Her songs don't always rhyme, but it doesn't have to. My poetry doesn't always exactly either. It's the feeling you create with it that matters. The story. The Meaning. Not whether it rhymes or not (LoL). Her song "You Learn," is such a song that one can listen to and feel better about a mistake they've made because it teaches that we learn in no matter what we do.

Britney Spears "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" "Girl In The Mirror"
I don't really get attached to Celebrities like we all did in childhood, but Britney has always been one of my favourites. Some say they like her because of her body. I admit, I always loved her blond hair, but I like the sound of her music and the meaning with some of the songs. When I heard "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman," I felt a feeling of "OMG! She said what I am feeling!!" Especially at the part about not telling me to shut my eyes (LoL) Growing up, it was always so annoying to hear the words 'COVER YOUR EYES!!' when watching a movie because I was too young to see it...like that ever stopped me heh heh .. oh you didn't read that.I feel like this song touched the lives of so many people, for me, I just mentally changed the lyrics from the female wording to a male wording. A salute this song!

"Girl In The Mirror," didn't really become a popular song because it wasn't a single, nor was it included on a normal cut of her debut album. It was included on international releases as well as one of her single discs. I miss those days where 'hidden tracks' as I called them would appear on singles. Songs that didn't appear on their album. It would be interesting to hear that a song was so good on a single that was an extra song and it somehow became a greatest hit for the singer. The song talks about a girl who is broken hearted girl wanting to be herself.

Kris Allen "The Truth"
Kris Allen is the one I was rooting for the season he won American Idol. I just sensed something great in him, musically. I was right. His first single was talking about loving those you love NOW because you never know when you are going to lose them. The video was a bit simple but I liked it. His new song, I think, talks of not wanting to move on from something. "Honesty is Honestly the hardest thing for me right now." That line is by far one of the most vulnerable, yet honest lines I have ever heard. It's an underrated album even though it made it to #11 on the Billboard charts. I wish it would have gotten closer to one, but being at #11 means he can still make another album. They'd only drop him if he did terribly, I think. The lyrics touch a core of feeling in a way that I strive to, but never completely succeed. I love this song for it's poetic music and not just instrumental music.

Christina Aguilera "Reflection" "Beautiful"
I'm personally still surprised this song was as successful as it was. It has a profound and positive message about being yourself. I always have loved the Disney Movie 'Mulan,' for it's story. A girl, pretends to be something she's not for her father's sake, eventually being acknowledged as herself at the end. I haven't given much away but that is somewhat a spoiler if you haven't seen it. I don't know what else really to say, but I should also include her song 'Beautiful,' along with 'Reflection,' Beautiful touched the lives of many people. Purposely acknowledging that the LBGT community was as beautiful as straight people. Bless her for that!

I hope you have enjoyed this blog and I hope I have introduced you to some new music of quality. :)

American Idol Top 12

There was a very moving introduction for tonight. Steven, Jennifer and Randy announced that the profits from the purchases of the performances through itunes were going to the relief effort in Japan.

To no surprise, Ryan Seacreast is wearing a tie and tux tonight.

Randy is wearing this very unique jacket. If anyone can tell me where to get it, I would be very appreciative because it looks like there's no leather or suede in it. it seems to be blue and give the appearance of a jean jacket, but it has other fabrics in it that I can't idenitfy. EDIT: NVM! I saw a leather patch on the shoulder!

Steven is wearing this very psychedelic coat with sequins. His style is so unique that it makes it current. It has a rainbow theme on it and it truly brings the 70s into the 2010 era.

Jennifer is wearing what seemed to be an almost transparent fabric for her dress. It has a wild (as in animals) theme and i'm thinking Tiger? Her hair looks so bleeping amazing! Why do women have better hair and better looking legs? Anyway, I digress.

Tonight, the theme is songs from the year the contestants were born.

Naima is up first. In the introduction, they showed her family, which showed that her family dresses just like her. I found that interesting. "What's Love Got To Do With It?" By Tina Turner is the song she chose. The only negative thing I have to say about the introduction to Naima's performance is that she was wearing these huge black earrings that were pulling on her ear lobe. I've heard horror stories about earrings being too heavy for the lobes and the lobes ripped!

Her performance started and her hair is braided and put all pulled up to look like . She has simple black slacks, a yellow sleeveless shirt, a red vest and a silver, glittery vest that goes over everything else. There seems to be a belt-like design on her waist with some coins dangling from it. The belt-like look Mayan. her shoes are high heeled silver boots to match the second vest. This enseble seems too noisy for my tastes and sadly, her performance seemed pitchy in places and I wasn't too convinced.

Paul's intro showed him wearing a jacket that may be leather. As i've mentioned, incessantly, I do not like leather! LoL. To make matters worse, there was a cowhide in the show I was watching recently! LoL! Anyway, his undershirt seems to be a white shirt with a red design. Don't knwo what it is. His voice sounded horrible when they showed him in the recording studio so I hope it's better on stage. O lord deliver me...he's wearing a texas style tux with a flowery undershirt and one of those texan style ties that i've seen on Wizards Of Waverly Place.

He's singing "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues." And i've never really heard the original, but ... I don't think singing is meant for him. Because he just sounds he would booed of the stage anywhere other than on the idol stage. He has such a cute smile though and that beard looks cute on him that it hurts me to say that! His hair is a bit wild though, but it fits. I just heard that he has a cold, so he may still be safe and people'll vote for him. Hopefully he does better next week...o those damn eyes! :p.

Thia's intro was really cute and her shirt was a simple navy blue, it appeared. ALl I could see. She chose to sing 'Venessa William's" Colors of the wind. I feel so old! I remember the year that came out vividly, but this is the year that Pia was born. It's offical, i'm getting old! LoL. Her singing is very charming and is refreshingly anything but karaoke. I think she is the first person to do a good job tonight. I wonder what it would be like to have an American Idol winner who is of Asian race. It would be cool because it would show that they are not biased to mostly white winners and some black winners :-/. I hope the competition isn't rigged, it would make everything we bloggers do completely pointless..well...i judge fashion so I guess i'd still be okay? :-/

James Durbin is wearing simple black pants with an amazing crotch! Oops, sorry, I'll stay on track here. The leather jacket has to go, but so does the rest of his clothes ... oops! I did it again! (:p). His black shoes are also leather with some diamonds on them. His shirt is a V neck grey shirt, his necklace has those balls on them which leads to handcuffs, his same cross earring is in his left ear, and he's singing "I'll Be There For You," by Bon Jovi. Never heard this song before. His started out kind of pitchy, but he seems to be doing very well! His stage presense isn't shy at all. I don't really understand on the scarf in his back pocket giving the appearance of a tale though. He also has a gold bracelet with circles on it.. his performance was mostly good, but the end line was pitchy as well.

He just announced that his shoes were leather. Thumbs down! LoL

Hailey's intro started, showcasing her beautiful hair. Her mother had this red hoodie on that looked like a leopard, but with black and red. Hailey is a beautiful girl, truly. I love her eyebrows and need to get a manicure and get my eyebrows done soon. I may be a guy but hell no am I gonna have a unibrow! LoL
"I'm Your Baby Tonight," by Whitney Houston is the song she chose. Her voice isn't doing it for me tonight and her wardrobe seems to be painfully simple with a red semi long sleeved shirt with black pants. I take back what I said abotu her voice, as her performance drew on, her voice got better, I guess it was just a pitchy beginning. Her shoes are black high heels.

Not sure but I think she may have seen Durbin's hot crotch and put lipstick on her chin :-/ ... oops! I said I wouldn't talk such ways ... Ryan eventually wiped the massacre of lipstick off her chin LoL!

Stefano was up next, i'm not much for his fashion. Especially when I saw his gangsta wanabe look goin on. He sang "If You Don't Know Me By Now." by The Blue Notes. He came out where a pinkish button up shirt that he didn't tuck in, giving a slightly sluggish look, in my opinion. The rest of his wardrobe was a tux and tennis shoes?????? eep!!! who came up with this? It's very 1990s... His singing is on key and sounds great. His cockiness seems to have gone away a bit.. let's see what he says after his performance. The last note was great!

Pia was up next. She chose "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?" by Whitney Houston. Sounding slightly karaoke, but her wardrobe seems appropriate for her song choice. It's all in white and it's one of those pant suits. A gorgeous necklace with a blue pendant, light blue. The chain is full of diamonds matching her circular earrings. Wow, down to the letter, her ring matches her necklace by having the same light blue in the focal point of the ring. Her shoes, are I think brown. High heels. It eventually stopped being karaoke towards the end.

Scotty is next. He's the other hottie in this competition with a wickedly smooth face and chisled chest and belly. I sure hope the jacket he was wearing wasn't leather...he's wearing this wicked brown coat. ... but it might be suede ... his undershirt is a texan style blue buttoned up shirt..not tucked in. Oops! Sorry. His pants blackish grey and tight.

Karen is up next. She's wearing this silver dress, sleeveless, has black stripes in parts and i'm not too fond of it. She is singing "Love Will Lead You Back." by Taylor Dane. Never heard of it. That I know of. They put her hair in a bun that looks like there's an opposum on her head. *sighs* Idol needs to hire me and i'll do the fashion. She has this huge circular diamond earrings that seem too big for her head. On the bright side her singing is great and I love how she incorporated Spanish lyrics again.

Kacey is up next. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" Nirvana. Is this gonna be about a boys locker room? Hmm...idk never listened to Nirvana really ever. Kacey came up wearing what appears to be a jean jacket and an green undershirt. his pants being the same color as the jacket and he has a scarf like thing around his neck. Can't really tell the colors because there's too much yellow on the stage. Then after the performance, didn't really get a good look at the ensemble. Sorry. :-/

"I'm The Only One," By Melissa Etheridge was the song that Lauren chose. She's wearing a brown over coat with some glitter on it. it looks like suede....she has a cowgirlbelt on and tight black pants. Naturally, of course! (LoL) wearing leather cowgirl boots. She did very well. I remember this song after she sang it.

Jacob was the last performer of the night. "Alone," by Heart is his song choice. I never really was very crazy about the lead singer's voice and Celine's wasn't exactly a thrill for me either. He's wearing a black jacket with the color up it looks somewhat like a military jacket. A purple button-up undershirt.Pants that match the jacket and his shoes are also black, I believe. He's doing amazing, I can see why they put him at the end of the show, which is a tactic I her they get because they hear the performances before hand to put the singer list together. I'm not much for his jacket. I'd give that performance a B.

I hope you have enjoyed this installment of fashion commentary for American Idol Contestants.

Simply, Another List

What I have done, is decided to continue the list that my friend is also doing, but of course applying my answers to each question, plus, I've decided to throw some other random stuff in here too. I hope you enjoy. :-)

To continue where I left off in my previous post 'Simply, A List,' which I transfered to this blog so this sequel to it would make sense to people (LoL), I had left off on favourite male Character. Which leads me to:

16. Favourite Female Character

Now I know this may seem a bit kiddish, but if i'm not embarrassed to admit that Tommy Pickles is my all time favourite male character, than I shouldn't be afraid to reveal that my favourite female character is Samantha Puckett from iCarly, portrayed by Jenette McCurdy. Her character has such spunk that surpasses even my original favourite: Dorothy Zbornac. I always loved Dorothy's sarcasm and quick witt and that's why I consider her an honorable mention. As far as all time favourite right now though, Sam. Sam doesn't put up with crap and has a certain disregard for the rules. She eats so much that i'm amazed she remains thin. The only thing I don't like about iCarly is that they incorporate meat into their shows, but despite my vegetarianism, I don't have to force my beliefs onto others. So i'm not gonna write Nickelodeon a dirty letter telling them all the bad things in meat and how it causes high cholesterol if you eat it too much (LoL). I'll keep it to myself instead ... except for the brief mention here (haha).

Now, I realize that this isn't the right place for it, but I had some honorable mentions, which I got this idea from a friend; so i'm being naughty and stealing her idea briefly, but then again...she recently gave me permission to somewhat copy her (:p).

"Honorable Mentions"
Female Characters:
A) Sonam Kapoor "Sakina."
Now after the barrage of "WHO???", she was simply too cute in one of my new favourite movies titled "Saawariya." A movie, which I believe takes place in India, about a guy who is very nice and always smiles; lends a helping hand whenever etc; becomes infatuated with a girl by the name of Sakina. The guy's name is Raj (Short for Ranbir Raj. The dilemma is that Sakina is in love with a guy who goes off for years at a time, but Raj hopes that she can see that he's there, he's not going away and that she'll choose him. It's a sad ending and a happy ending at the same time, which was also undeniably interesting.

B) Dorothy Zbornac (Bea Arthur).
As much as I was shocked when I bought the first season of Maude and came across an episode in which she has an abortion, I always respected Bea. I can see why they only released the first season of Maude though; most of the show consisted of arguing about politics. :-/. Partially though, Dorothy was a mirror of Maude. Once you take away the politics; Maude & Dorothy yelled exactly the same, they both had quick wit and I could go on, but I eventually sold my copy of Maude because I didn't want it after I watched the whole season. I gave it a shot because I always respected Bea, but I wasn't much for that show. I think Dorothy shall always be one of her biggest accomplishments. She also portrayed a lush, drunkard in Mame. Co-Starring Lucille Ball. I enjoyed her in that character as well, though her role was somewhat small.
As i've said while comparing Bea Arthur's two most popular characters' as well as in Jenette McCurdy's mention: Dorothy had spunk and quick wit and such sarcasm that to this day, probably helped create parts of my personality. I used to watch "The Golden Girls," so much that I noticed myself looking up to them. Which, I never felt bad about because as I look back; most kids wanted foul mouthed comedians and dirty movies. Whereas, in my youth, a homosexual youth (haha!), I looked up to that show and always believed in the morals. Sometimes it didn't really have a good one in each episode, but as I grew older, I realized the implication of what the right thing to do in a situation was.

Male Characters
C) Harry Potter.
I have already said it, but I remember my grade school teacher reading us the first book and I thought, "It's not gonna get popular." I eventually ate those words! (LoL)!. Everyone knows of HP, so no commentary is really necessary. The most I can say is that the storyline of the Harry Potter series is so logical, despite it's fiction.

D) Arthur Bach (Dudley Moore)
This is from a movie from 1981, and the sequel was from 1987. Arthur & Arthur 2: On The Rocks. Arthur is a rich drunk who got his billions from family. He meets a nice girl that he eventually falls for, but she's not rich. She's poor and they meet because she steals a tie. His family wants him to marry Suzanne Johnson, a blond ditz that is so infatuated with a childhood dream of finding her prince, she's too blind to see that Arthur wants nothing to do with her. His family is so insistant on the marriage, that they threaten to cut him off from the family fortune unless he marry's her. He's a severe drunk as I said, but if you check out the movie, you'll hear the laughter Dudley Moore gave the character and just fall in love.

Warning: I just found out they are doing a remake this year. They better not muck it up! (:p)

17. Favourite Mini Series.
Honestly, i've never watched a mini series, but the closest thing would be "The 10th Kingdom," I have never finished the series, but I fell in love with the story line when I saw the first night's episode of it. I missed the second, then saw the third, but it made no sense. Close enough! (:P)

18. Favourite Title Sequence.
Okay, start your laughing because let me start by saying that I don't watch a lot of soap opera's or night time telly. My choices for favourite title sequence, well I can't just choose one, are not all able to be categorized into all one genre. Maybe some in the same, but not all.

A) "Murder, She Wrote."
I found the clip to the original intro, but the embed has been disabled by request. I'll post a link if you would like to see it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v94ugLhua9Y
Being only 22 years old, I get weird looks when I tell people that 'Murder, She Wrote,' is one of my all time favourite shows. One person asked if I had a thing for older ladies. To which I said, ":O What? Of course not! I grew up with my grandmother." Which, I did. She showed me so many shows, this being one of 'em. Simply put, it's a murder mystery show where she writes murder mysteries (Hence the title), but eventually starts to solve crimes in real life.

B) "Wizards of Waverly Place."
Go ahead, say it. First I tell you i'm interested in a show with older characters, then turn around and mention a Disney channel show. In my defense I have no defense. If I can be bluntly honest, I just started watching this show this morning on Netflix. The first 4 seasons are on Netflix for me free to watch, well, that is, if I keep paying the monthly fee. I am already hooked. I never watched it when I first heard of it because I thought it was a carbon copy of Harry Potter. It's not, there's not as much magic in the show as I thought there'd be. I can't really give you a good description of the show other than Selena Gomez's character (Alex Russo) along with her family, tell the story of a family that does possess magical powers, but ironically, Alex and her 2 brothers can't use them because they are still in school and live under their parents roof. Alex uses her powers anyway and tends to always get caught. The older brother always likes to either "tell on her," or make a bet with her. The younger one is a typical little boy that is following in his sister's footsteps. I thought the intro was cute.

C) "The Golden Girls."
If you read my first list, this is basically my all time favourite show. The show is about 3 older women and one of them brings their mother to live with them. They get into trouble, talk about sex, have sex with their boyfriends (not on camera, phew! it's implied though) and eat cheesecake. And this is like a yo-yo. Older cast, younger cast, now back to older cast. (:p)

D) "Charmed"
Admittedly, I haven't seen this show as much as I would love to. I used to watch this occaisionally with a friend of mine and that's how I came across it. It's about 3 witches who eventually figure out that they are witches and have to destroy demons, correct changes made in time so things continue to flow normally and they also must keep their powers a secret.

E) "The Nanny."
I always thought this intro was really cute. The Nanny starring Fran Drescher as Fran Fine the make-up girl becomes the nanny. Unconventionally. She manages to win the favor of Maxwell Sheffeild, and gets the job of helping him raise his 3 children.

There's probably more, but i'll leave it here now, but i'll end with a twist.

Dishonorable Mention
AKA The Worst Intro EVER!!! (LoL)

F) "Tales From The Darkside"
This show is cute and has a mysterious side to it, but the intro is totally juvenile in my opinion.

19. Best TV Show Cast

Hmm...this is truly a toughy. I have a lot of favourite shows, but at times, I felt the characters could have done better, or that it left much to be desired. I think, off the top of my head, the best cast I know of ceases to exist because Grissom left, others were written off and now the show just doesn't seem the same anymore, but then again, I haven't given it much of a try with the new guy.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

20. Favourite Kiss.
I have been wanting to answer this one for awhile. WITHOUT HESITATION: I give you the only scene that caused me to cry as a child. It was so beautiful to me that I feel so lucky that this specific scene is found on youtube. It's from the Golden Girls. Dorothy was originally supposed to go out on this blind date, but she got tickets to Beatle Mania and wanted to go because it was her last chance to see at least a simulation. When the beatles were still together, Dorothy couldn't go because one of her kids got sick, so Blanche agrees to go, after some bribery that Dorothy'll introduce her to some military men that have been at sea for more than six months (LoL!). Blanche really catches a REAL MAN! The embed has been disabled by request, so please follow the link and watch it (:-) )

21. Favourite Ship
When I first saw this, I was thinking "Ship? What? Like Titanic?", but through a friend, I read that it means 'relationship.' Without question, I must mention 'Arthur' again. Dudley Moore & Liza Minnelli portray "Arthur Bach & Linda Marolla." Since I have already described the storyline, I just shall say that I love this 'ship,' because this movie truly molded my vision of love since childhood. You have to watch the movie to find out the whole ending, but this movie truly showed me what love really is. WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!! (LoL).

22. Favourite Series Finale
Without a doubt. The series finale of the Golden Girls. Now you don't have to watch it but if you want to, here is the one hour finale. Watching it shouldn't destroy the whole series for you, just an FYI. I still watch it even though I know how it ends.
Part one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysLXqjaNs5U&p=5A057769F1A0A802
Part two:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11IJ4ylHK3U&p=5A057769F1A0A802
Part Three:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50QR_hJLqZk&feature=related
Part four:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQZHZN8II4g&feature=related
Part five:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPG1RRf7nSs&p=5A057769F1A0A802

23. Most Annoying Character
Oh you would think this would be SO easy, but it's not! I think I have one. I thought about this long and hard and there was one character that was slightly annoying. I'll probably make an honorable mention if I can think of another one, but this is the best I got so far. His name is never really announced, but he comes in with this mafia voice goin on, but he's a kid. Which makes this even more bad for me to say he's the most annoying character that I can think of. On Witches of Wavery Place, Alex's brother gets a tutoring gig, but the kid says he's the biggest tutor around and hates competition. So, without legal reason, he just strolls in and demands a cut of the money he's getting for being a tutor. Then, annoys Alex's brother at other points of the show. Best part is when he gets chased off! LoL.

24. Best Quote:
Oh no. Why'd I choose now to switch parties (politically)? Damn conscience, but i'm still glad I did. Originally, my favourite quote was from "My Fellow Americans" when the Republican says, "Oh aha! As usual, the republican comes up with the plan while the democrat wanders aimlessly in the woods." as my opinions have changed, I can't use that one anymore. :-/

This one comes from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"

Here's a Gem from the Golden Girls!

From Barbra Streisand, "Manure, pardon the expression, doesn't do anything unless it's spread around encouraging young things to grow." - From "Hello, Dolly"

25. A Show You Plan On Watching, Old Or New.
Since i've already said that i'm working on watching 'Wizards of Waverly Place,' I shant include that in this section. There are two shows I have in mind right now though.

"Last Exile" An anime show about two guys that deliver mail by plane, but get caught up in a war.

"Charmed"

26. OMG WTF? Season Finale
Hmm.....Probably the third season of the Golden Girls season finale. It was called 'Empty Nest,' (The episode) and a wife was feeling lonely because her husband was always working and her children were all moved out of the house. It was originally to be the pilot episode for a show, but by the time they debuted the show 'Empty Nest,' they re-set it around a doctor that had appeared on the Golden Girls several times, the original plot from the season finale was scrapped and the show surrounded the doctor and the two twin girls. One was a bit neurotic, the other was smart and couldn't understand why her twin was neurotic. Till 'Empty Nest' debuted, the twins weren't related to the doctor. Strange......first image is the only one i can find from season 3 finale. The second is what they turned the show into.

27. Best Pilot Episode
Surprisingly, i'm not going to say 'The Golden Girls.' I'd have to say the 'Charmed' debut.

I hope you have enjoyed this second list. :-)
